Today was my best friend of 10 years (I think it’s 10, feels like 110!) baby shower. Lauren has the most beautiful soul, is an incredible artist and devoted animal lover. I am so happy for Lauren and Scott. Kate (Lauren’s sister) did an amazing job styling the event and left me in charge of the flowers. The theme was Beatrix Potter’s Peter Rabbit, so naturally I bought everything in the shops I could find with bunny rabbits on them to fill my giant gift box I had been putting together. Anyway back to the flowers..
A beautiful marriage between fresh in season blooms and meticulously hand picked vegetables that Peter Rabbit himself would not be able to resist. I created two mouth watering arrangements of scrumptious Silverbeet, Carrot, Beetroot, Turnip, Nadine and red Potato, with a side of divine Ornamental Kale, Queen Ann’s Lace and Snapdragon in a watering can, wooden box and glass jar channeling Peter Rabbit to the T. A very relaxing high tea followed by painting and craft, each guest decorating an adorable little terracotta pot for Lauren and Scott to plant mini vegetable gardens in to enjoy with the little bub. Such a fantastic and personal idea replacing traditional baby shower games. Can not wait to meet the little one, let the count down begin.
Scrumptious Silverbeet, Carrot, Beetroot, Turnip, Nadine and red Potato with a side of divine Ornamental Kale, Queen Ann’s Lace and Snapdragon please!
